Location: In-Person at The Shaw Centre, Ottawa (plus live streaming of Speakers and Panels for virtual delegates)
SWE Ottawa is pleased to be a Community Partner at The Ontario Society of Professional Engineers’ annual Engineering, Diversity and Recruitment Conference! The full day, hybrid event is November 3, 2022.
The conference will include speakers, panels, break-out sessions, plenty of networking and plenty of recruitment opportunities --- there will be many government and industry organizations actively recruiting engineering and STEM talent!!!
The in-person conference will be held at the Shaw Centre in downtown Ottawa (with around 500+ in-person attendees) and all speakers and panels will be simultaneously live-streamed for all virtual delegates. Visit www.engineeringconference.ca to self-register and use code SWEOTTAWAP if registering to attend in-person, or SWEOTTAWAV if registering to attend virtually, to receive a 10% discount. Questions? Indigenous Canada Discussion Group
Please join us to discuss the University of Alberta's course Indigenous Canada.
Please note that we are not associated with the University of Alberta, the course Indigenous Canada, or Dan Levy. Indigenous Canada is a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) from the Faculty of Native Studies at the University of Alberta that explores Indigenous histories and contemporary issues in Canada. From an Indigenous perspective, this course explores key issues facing Indigenous peoples today from a historical and critical perspective highlighting national and local Indigenous-settler relations. It is free to take the course. Please sign up for the course and complete the module before the discussion group. You can go further into the learning by watching videos in which Dan Levy talks about Indigenous issues with professors of the course, including Dr. Tracy Bear and Dr. Paul Gareau.You are welcome to join us for as many of the discussions as you are able.
